It's a new upcoming area in Dubai and is quickly becoming a popular spot ( exact location below) . . Dubai Creek will also be the location of the Creek Tower which will become the world's tallest, surpassing Burj Khalifa soon. Historically the creek supported pearling industry as well as fishing and has been a big part of Dubai's development. . . To get to the this city view point, you either need a taxi that can wait for you ( as there are no taxi stands), your own car or ferry. You can walk along the harbour for the views and dine at some amazing restaurants right by the creek. Instagram post 17939585569457663 You know how you go to some place foreign and it reminds you of the home you grew up in, that's how I felt about this cozy little restaurant - Arabian Tea House. . . Chai and evening snacks were just a daily routine growing up, like a usual Indian home. It changed after I left home for college, where there was no time to even cook, and I relied on coffee. After college, I just got used to eating dinner early, so the "Chai time" just ended. I mean I still drink it twice a day, but it's just not the same! . . We got to this super famous cafe around 5 pm, tired from exploring Old Dubai, and the first thing we got was hot "kadak tea" served in these glass cups, just like my mom would, with tea time snacks or "foala". Remember that moment in movie Ratatouille, where Remy's dish took Ego back to childhood, that's basically how I felt at that very moment! πŸ™ˆ . . Whether you love tea or not, Emirati food or not, I am sure you will find something here that will not forget - whether it's the colorful ambience, refreshing dishes, their insta famous corner or just a simple cup of tea πŸ’™
Instagram post 17885783990033515 HIDDEN GEM IN DUBAI Did you know there are 2 beautiful Iranian mosque in Dubai? Hidden in the bylanes of old textile souk is this Iranian Mosque Hosainia ( in the picture). The colorful exterior is inspired by the classic Persian architecture and the walls are adorn by extensive azure blue tilework giving it a look of most mosques you see in Iran. How to get here : Look for "Ali Ibn Ali Talib Mosque" in Google Maps. Once here, walk around the back to the parking lot. The stunningly beautiful Iranian mosque is just across the parking lot. ... Another Iranian mosque named Imam Hussein Mosque is in Satwa, and is not so hidden from public eyes. There is a beautiful courtyard for you to view the intricate design and artwork. To visit inside, you need to book a guided tour with Sheikh Mohammed Center for Cultural Understanding ( via their website). How to get here : You can take bus to the Mosque, which is across from Iranian Hospital. You can even walk from Jumeirah Mosque or La Mer to get here. Please be respectful of your surroundings while taking pictures.

Our first visit was 4 months ago and since then we have been there thrice already ( you can tell that from our feed 😁). It's amazing how this lake looks different in every season and even at different times of the day! π˜›π˜¦π˜­π˜­ 𝘢𝘴 𝘒𝘣𝘰𝘢𝘡 𝘒 𝘱𝘭𝘒𝘀𝘦 𝘡𝘩𝘒𝘡 𝘺𝘰𝘢 𝘀𝘒𝘯 𝘷π˜ͺ𝘴π˜ͺ𝘡 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘒𝘯π˜₯ 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘒𝘨𝘒π˜ͺ𝘯? Some very interesting facts about Eibsee : β—‡ There are about 6 separated lakes near Eibsee, we saw 3 of these, including Frillensee which has one of the best reflections of Zugspitze. β—‡ There are 29 hollows and 8 islands in Eibsee, which were formed later by a landslide event. It's rare that the islands are much younger than the actual lake itself. β—‡ It's a "blind lake" - the outflow of water from the lake takes place subterraneously. β—‡ It's a privately owned lake by Eibsee Hotel, which is quite beautiful if you want to spend a few days in the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area.

We felt that way for Ammersee, it's just 30 minutes from our house and we waited 2 years to get there!Β πŸ™ˆ πŸ“ Bootshaus Ammersee, Bayern Did you know.. πŸ”… Ammersee is 6th largest lake in Germany! There are plenty of trails and bicycle path to go around the lake. πŸ”… It's a Zugenbechen lake. These are formed by the melting of ice age glaciers, and the melting ice water fills up the hollow in the land left behind.Β  πŸ”… You can visit Kloster Andechs which is super famous for it's Andechser beer. The brewery is run by the monks and is the only monastic brewery in Germany that brews Bock beer for nation distribution.Β  πŸ”… It's proximity to Munich, makes it a beloved lake for locals. You can take the S-bahn or car to get there. Can you think of an amazing place near your home that you haven't visited yet?

On our way to visit Neuschwanstein Castle, we found this lake, where we ended up spending so much time that we never made it to the Castle πŸ™ˆ I mean look at that view, who would want to leave! This was 2 years ago and we didn't even know the name of the lake! 😁 So last weekend, we spent a few hours to trace our way back and FOUND IT! A walk on this beach was like walking into a painting! The weather here in December is around 20-30 C, definitely why it's on our "Hot in Chilly" list 😁 6 best things from our 6 day vacation in Costa Rica ( Save post for planning) : 🍷Coffee wine at El Toledo Coffee Farms, a family owned eco-friendly farm. ( Didn't know there was such a thing as coffee wine before this 😁) πŸ₯ΎHiking up to El Miro, a hidden trail starting from a narrow opening on the roadside near Jaco Beach.Β  πŸŒ‹Listening to stories of Arenal Volcano while soaking in natural hot springs in La Fortuna.Β  🍴Eating at roadside shacks called "soda", which serve some of the best Costa Rican food. Patacones ( fried plantains) were the best, still remember that taste! 🎨 Evening walks on Jaco Beach for nature's color therapy πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ Learning to cook gallo pinto with local chefs while enjoying some Jungle Juice 😁 PURA VIDA πŸ’™πŸ€β€
Instagram post 17852644913498461 MUST VISIT LAKES IN BAVARIA ( Save post for planning) In last 1 year, we have loved exploring the stunning lakes of Bavaria. We found a special something in each one we visited, and no two lakes were same, not even by their looks! Probably why we never got bored of the scenery and want to visit more! Our favorites so far : ⭐ KΓ–NIGSEE - This gorgeous Emerald green beauty is our favorite! It's super famous and touristy and was the only lake in the list we knew about before moving to Germany. So plan your day early, because you will need the full day to truly admire this gem! Oh and don't forget Obersee, which is even prettier πŸ“Έ ⭐ EIBSEE - A crystal clear lake right at the foot of Germany’s tallest mountain! Sparkling water and Zugspitze make for one spectacular panoramic view. The loop trail around the lake is highly recommended and please stop by Frillensee during your walk. Don't forget your bathing suit in summer πŸ‘™ ⭐ CHIEMSEE - While this largest lake in Bavaria itself is beautiful, its main attractions are the 2 beautiful islands - Herreninsel and Fraueninsel. You will not just love the ferry ride to these islands, but can also enjoy some of the best Bavarian restaurants here 🏝 ⭐ WALCHENSEE - A shimmering turquoise lake, best for a relaxing day! There are plenty of picnic spots and you can find people boating or taking a quick dip in the water after a hike to Herzogstand Gipfelkreuz.Β πŸŠβ€β™€οΈ ⭐ GEROLDSEE - Not easy to find, but you will never forget watching the sunset in this mirror lake! With not many people around, you can spend a calm evening as the sun light hits the Alps! πŸŒ„ ⭐ TEGERNSEE - Another Alpine beauty with exquisite views of the clean and clear waters. Surrounded by small towns like Tegernsee and Gmund, which can be easily explored on a bicycle. Highly recommended to start and end your day with Tegernesee beer! 🍺 ⭐ STARNBERGERSEE - One of the best known "Munich Lakes", just 20 minutes from Central station. Highly recommend the Alpine Cruise, which shows you lot of historic monuments and even Schloss Possenhofen of beloved Sisi 🚒 Tell us if you are a lake or mountain person ( or both like us πŸ˜‰)!
